About This Place

Sariling Atin is a charming Filipino grocery store and restaurant nestled in the heart of Elmhurst, NY, offering an authentic taste of the Philippines right here in Queens. Located at 89-12 Queens Blvd, this vibrant spot perfectly marries the best of both worlds: a well-stocked Filipino market paired with a cozy cafeteria-style eatery that delivers homemade flavors bursting with tradition and warmth.

Step inside the grocery section, and you are immediately surrounded by shelves brimming with Philippine staples—from unique spices and sauces to snacks and canned goods—that transport you back to the islands. But it’s the adjoining restaurant that truly shines, inviting diners to savor classic Filipino dishes crafted with care and devotion.

Regular visitors rave about the bold, comforting flavors. Alisha Karim enthuses about the “amazing authentic Filipino food,” highlighting how each dish tastes fresh and genuinely homemade. The menu showcases beloved favorites such as succulent BBQ skewers, which Peedo Salim praises as “the best in Elmhurst,” and a variety of other flavorful options served in generous portions alongside fragrant rice. While some find the seasoning leans slightly salty and the dishes a bit oily, the rich and satisfying flavors leave a lasting impression on every palate.

Dining at Sariling Atin feels like a warm welcome home. According to coney rivera, the environment is friendly and comforting, with staff who greet each guest with a genuine smile—making your visit feel like being “AT HOME” in the Philippines. Whether you're grabbing ingredients to cook yourself or sitting down for a meal, the inviting atmosphere combined with attentive service creates a deeply personal and satisfying experience.

One consideration noted by customers like Helene is that prices might be a little higher than expected—roughly $14 for two items with rice—but given the quality, authenticity, and portion sizes, it remains a worthy indulgence for anyone craving true Filipino comfort food.

In essence, Sariling Atin isn’t just a place to shop or eat—it’s a cultural hub where the spirit of Filipino hospitality meets rich culinary heritage. Filipino grocery store with cafeteria style food at the back of the store. The store sells many filipino items and premade food. Got a couple of items and they were delicious. Also tried the food which was also flavorful and tasted like home cooked food. A bit on the saltier side and a bit oily but tasty nonetheless. The only con is the cost. Around $14 for 2 items with rice. For the amount we got it was too expensive.

I came here for dining in. The price is so so reasonable. The food is great. The BBQ skewer is the best in Elmhurst. Very recommended.
